J.Cat Beauty First Impressions - Eyeshadow & Liner

10 July 2015

Recently, while processing shipment, we found an exciting endcap display - looks like Ulta is going to start carrying J.Cat Beauty. You might know them as the brand that does the cheaper OCC Lip Tar dupes; I've heard of this brand for a while on YT and I was super excited to find out we would be carrying at least a few pieces from the line.

Hopefully we can expand the product range in the future because there are some other products that I plan on picking up (like the blushes...hello, I'm a crazy cat lady and those blush/bronzers are cute as hell) and it's definitely convenient to pick them up while at work.

This is not a full-on review. I've only had these products in my possession for around a week and I do plan on picking up more products from this brand.

N.Y.C. Show Time Glitter Eyeliner REVIEW

01 December 2012

Yes. I know. An actual review, OMG. I know, I am so hellaciously behind and I'm not even going to give some shitty sob story. Let's get right into this. This is part of my College 2012 VoxBox (brief review of the whole box here)from Influenster. Many people have done blog posts about Influenster, and so have I! You can find THAT post here! But, basically, you can interact, post reviews, answer questions, and get boxes of free stuff pertaining to your lifestyle and interests. I, being a college student, liked most of the stuff in my box.

Plus, I feel bad for being so bad at blogging lately, so mini reviews it is! This is obviously on the N.Y.C. Showtime Glitter Liner.

FTC Disclaimer: I never remember to do these because I never get free shit, ya know? But this liner was free through the VoxBox program at Influenster. Neither N.Y.C. Cosmetics nor Influenster are paying me to do this review, opinions are my own, etc.

Hard Candy Stay In Line Mechanical Pencil in Santorini (REVIEW)

28 August 2011

Okay, so I've definitely blathered on about my love of mascaras and eyeliners w/ lash growth serum (here and here for two examples) and I'm continuing the sparse lash girl love w/ a really kick ass product. I'm also pretty sure that if you've been here before, you know I love color. And if you haven't been here before? Well, I bloody well love color (and, no, I am, sadly, not British, but I have a bad tendency to curse like a sailor and I'm hoping 'bloody' is a bit less offensive as busting out the f-word...if it IS offensive and annoying, please comment and chew me out! I don't want to go around offending and upsetting people!) And let me just say...Oh, well, before I go and spoil the whole review, let me jump and then you can continue reading!

Covergirl LiquilineBlast in Green Glow Review

16 August 2011

Nope, this is definitely not an EOTD, haha. This is just me playing around w/ some liners, including the one I am about to review. That liner would be Covergirl's LiquilineBlast liner in "Green Glow". I love liquid liners. I love the intense look...I just love everything about liquid liners. However, they can be tricky to use. What's neat about this pencil is the fact that it's supposed to mimic the look of liner w/ the ease of a pencil liner.

This picture right here will take you to my main eyeliner post, if you're interested. Other than that, let's continue. This liner retails between $6 to $8, depending on where you get it. It's by Covergirl, so it's pretty readily available in drugstores, grocery stores, etc. I only have the one color because I just wasn't interested in the others. I have several really good black liners already, although the formula of this is really nice. There are six shades available and I would say that they're a pretty decent drugstore dupe of Urban Decay's liners.

Okay, enough rambling!

Ulta Smokey Eyes, Metallic Eyes, and Automatic Liner Review

Okay, so I can't find the Ulta Smokey Eyes liners on their website anymore, BUT they were still selling them in my Ulta store as of last week. So I guess I'll talk about them anyway, and if you can spot them in your store and are interested, definitely check them out. Anyway, this is going to be a review on several Ulta brand eyeliners!

Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil and Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil Review

This is going to be a review for a product that has been out for a while. I've actually had these pencils for quite some time now...it just takes me a while to get things done, apparently. I have five of the Soft Kohl Kajal Liners and one Exaggerate pencil. Kohl liners tend to be notoriously smudgy - they're great for a smokey eye. While the other pencil is the exact opposite; it's waterproof and while you can still smudge it a bit, it's meant to be a bolder defining liner.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio in Green Eyes Review

Physicians Formula was always one of those brands that never interested me. They had some decent face products, but everything seemed more geared towards achieving a natural look or it just had too much shimmer. I was always turned off by many of their bronzers because of the shimmer. Plus I'm just not a big "face" person. I love blush, don't get me wrong, but Physicians Formula is also more expensive than most other drugstore brands. While they're geared towards healthy skin and natural looking products, $12 for a face powder was just more than I liked.

That being said, they've been introducing a lot of new lines, like the Happy Booster™ powders, which are pretty, smell great, and look amazing. Also, the Eye Booster™ 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum is my go-to liquid liner. The Organic Wear® Line is a super cool concept, especially for drugstore makeup. But the best product line they've come out w/ so far is the Shimmer Strips collection for the different eye colors. This is going to be a review on the pencil trio for green eyes.
