e.l.f. Ariel Treasure Within Beauty Book REVIEW

06 July 2014

One of the times I was questing at Walgreens (for the new Maybelline "The Nudes" palette, which I finally found at Ulta; review soon!) I spotted a display that caught my eye. Now last Halloween (or maybe two Halloweens ago) e.l.f. did a collaboration with Disney and had some gift sets based off of villains. This is a similar concept, except with Ariel!

Truth be told, I'm actually not a HUGE Little Mermaid fan, but the packaging and the concept suckered me in and I ended up with two kits; a lip set (review to be coming) and this "Treasure Within" Beauty Book. The packaging of this is GORGEOUS, can we just take a minute? I'm so in love with the aesthetic aspects of this palette. But how do the products inside stack up?

(I'll be including page anchors so if you just want to see swatches or read about just one part, you can skip to that particular part and not have to fuss around, since I can get...really verbose, especially when talking about so many products in one mega-post.)

e.l.f. Studio Lip Exfoliator PRODUCT RAVE/FIRST IMPRESSIONS

09 January 2014

I'm not sure if it's just in Michigan, but everyone I know, including me, has been suffering from SUPER CHRONIC DRY SKIN. My hands are absolutely disgusting; my fingers are cracked and scabby. My arms and legs feel practically like sand paper. And my lips...oh, my lips. I tend towards more of a matte finish lip and there is no way in HELL that I can pull off matte lips right now without looking like a hot mess!

So when e.l.f. had a huge sale (50% off EVERYTHING plus free shipping!), I snagged two of the lip exfoliators. I just got my order in today, but I'm making this post the same night because I am actually in love with this product. This is probably the best lip scrub I've used and it's only $3! The Bliss scrubs and Lush scrubs are at least $10 each, plus they come in pots, and this product blows them out of the dang water!

I'll put it this way; I just placed an order for eight more backups because I love this product that much. Since I've literally only had this for one day, that's why I'm titling this blog post "first impressions" and not an actual review. If my opinions do a 180, I will definitely make an updated post. But it's a lip scrub, ya know? I doubt my opinions are going to change drastically, haha.

REVIEW e.l.f. Studio Vanilla & Coconut Lotion Wipes

29 December 2013

So, I'm back from my ridiculous hiatus! With a ton of reviews! I'm going to be doing "Bloguary", where I post (at least) one blog per day during the month of January! My goal is to post two or three blogs a week, but I'm so behind that blogging every day in January seems incredibly legit to me, haha. Anyway, this is an e.l.f. Studio product review!

I am obsessed with wipes of any kind. I know, it's horrible for the environment and it's horrible for your wallet but the convenience factor is soooooo nice. Like those Super Goop sunscreen wipes? LOVE 'EM. I have bug spray in a wipe form as well. Let's be real here; who the hell wants to lug around full bottles of sunscreen and bug spray? Or carry around window cleaner in their car? I haven't hauled from e.l.f.'s website in quite a while because I was waiting for a decent sale (I did haul a ton of stuff during their 50% off/free shipping so there will be a LOAD of reviews when I get that stuff!). Luckily my local Targets and Hardings carry select e.l.f. products. I found these at Hardings and they're $3, the same price as through the website (minus shipping!) They only had one scent available but lotion wipes? Sounds good to me! I'm so lazy when it comes to applying body lotion and, again, who wants to drag a bottle of lotion around with them!?

FTC Disclaimer: I purchased these with my own money. I am not being compensated for this review. I am not affliated with the company. I am not being sponsored and, as always, all opinions are entirely my own.

e.l.f. Studio Cream Eyeliner Review *EDITED* to add the Black!

11 October 2011

I must say, I really like the e.l.f. Studio line. There are only a few products I'm not fond of, but all things considered, the bulk of the line is very nice AND it's cheap. Almost everything is $3 and some things are $6, but they're usually worth it. I almost don't want to type out this review because it's going to be kind of biased. Why? I only own two colors and they're both light and shimmery. As such, I don't own the black and I don't think these shimmery liners are any good as liners. So, this review in a nutshell - these don't show up and aren't thick enough to build up much color. But I've heard that the black one is pretty damn good! So who knows, maybe I'll drag my happy ass to Target and pick it up. Mission success! I purchased the black one and I REALLY like it. I like these as bases but, yeah...

Onwards, my friends.

e.l.f. Essentials Nail Polish & Eye Makeup Remover Pads Review

21 August 2011

When I was at Target, I bought a ton of e.l.f. products. Most of them, I haven't actually tried out yet, but I did try these two products out and I really do enjoy them. So w/o further ado, onwards towards the review!

e.l.f. Studio Eyeliner & Shadow Stick Review

16 August 2011

This is going to be a review of an e.l.f. Studio Line product - the Eyeliner & Shadow Stick. I have two of the six color combinations. Lots of brands make these types of products - Wet N Wild has their Perfect Pair duos, which are a cream shadow stick w/ a coordinating liner. What I like about these products is they seem super easy. You can blend on the shadow and then you have a color coordinating liner right on the other end. Plus these liner/shadow duos are automatic, which means no sharpening!

e.l.f. Studio Line products often go on sale at e.l.f.'s website for 50% off. You can find the Studio products in Target stores, some Big Lots, and I've found them at my local Meijer store as well. These products are $3 each, which is still pretty cheap, but if you can get a coupon code, they'll be $1.50 each!

e.l.f. Essentials Brightening Eye Liner and Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil Review EDITED NOV. 28TH

This is going to be a review on some dollar e.l.f. eyeliner products - three of the Brightening Eye Liners and one of the Shimmer Eyeliner Pencils. I love eyeliner, which is funny because I usually only ever wear black liner, but...I like branching out. Or, rather, pretending that I'm branching out. These liners are super cheap, but they aren't the only cheap things, as far as liners are concerned. Both Wet N Wild and N.Y.C. make liners for only a buck as well, and they're longer than these.

Clicking on that picture will take you to my Eyeliner Smörgåsbord post, which is all things eyeliner. It's still a work in progress right now, but hopefully it will be done by tonight!

e.l.f. Essentials Brightening Eye Color Quads - Review

04 August 2011

I am really excited to be finally doing this post. This is going to be a review on one of my favorite e.l.f. products. It's a favorite for many reasons - it's good quality stuff, it's compact, and, hell, it's bloody cheap. This product will cost you ONE DOLLAR. Yes, this product is not perfect. But it is more than worth the dollar it costs. And that would be the e.l.f. Essentials Brightening Eye Color quads. I'm sure most everyone has heard of them, and there have got to be a bazillion reviews available on these things, but I figure I'll add one anyway! ;)

Currently, there are 19 quads available, but they seem to be adding more at a rapidly increasing rate. I have eight and it's those eight I will be talking about today. Like all products, some of these quads are better than others, but the discrepancy between each quad is minimal. It must be stated that there seems to be a wide difference in quality - some people don't think highly of these. I don't know if it's on a batch by batch basis or if my body chemistry is different, but I have never had a huge issue w/ this product.
