Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies in #smooch REVIEW

07 May 2014

I was pretty tardy to the party, as far as these Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies go. I had read/watched a few reviews and everyone seemed pretty down on these; the biggest complaint seemed to be that these had a lack of pigmentation. And if you've been around on my blog for a while, you know one of my biggest pet peeves is when a balm claims to be tinted and then isn't. So basically, I wasn't interested in trying these. Now, I used to have a couple of the CG old school Lipslicks, and I remembered liking those alright. Finally, curiosity killed the Kate and a makeup haul brought her back.

I do have two shades in this, but I couldn't find the other one, so I'll review the individual shade on my Tumblr when I locate it, but since buying those two, I've purchased a few more, and there's not a wide change in the formula, so this is going to be a stand alone review. These widely vary in price for me, they're about $4.99 or so at Walmart and $7.99 at Walgreens, so YMMV for sure. The only difference is that Walgreens has sales and coupons and their Wellness card or whatnot, so you can actually get rewards and stuff for purchasing them there. Also, CG often goes on those BOGO50 sales.

I'm not typically a huge CG fan in the slightest, but lately they've been impressing me with their face products and some of their lip and nail products, so who knows. Eye product-wise...eh, their shadows are not my favorite, but you usually can't go wrong with Lash Blast mascara.

'butter LONDON Lippy Tinted Balm in Axis Rose REVIEW

31 August 2013

So, I feel like it has been forever and a day since I have blogged. Which is probably quite true. :/ I am going to try and post some smaller reviews, including the rest of my WNW posts, omg, but before I get to those, I want to get this one up because this product is fairly new and ridiculously exciting. On butter LONDON's Instagram, they had been posting teaser photos of their new cosmetics line for a while now, but I wasn't sure if I actually wanted to pick anything up. This brand is pretty pricy. When I saw the teaser pics for this particular product, I had no intention of picking anything up! $20 is pretty expensive for a lipstick, especially when I like plenty of the drugstore options, especially from Maybelline and Revlon.

But when I swatched them in Ulta (pretty sure this is an Ulta exclusive right now but you can also purchase online from BL's website), I absolutely had to buy it.

New Lip Products Swatch Post

08 January 2012

This is going to be a random swatch post of all the new lip products I've purchased in the last six weeks or so. Or at least the ones I don't plan on doing individual posts on. The Revlon Lip Butters are a very popular product but I don't want to edit in these in case people don't see them and it's not worth making a new separate post, no matter how popular these are.

The Lip Butters are, for the most part, the only lip products I took actual lip swatch photos for. The rest, I didn't, since I'm not planning on reviewing them. If, of course, you would like a separate review post on anything besides the Lip Butters in this post, please leave me a comment and let me know! :) If you're interested in my review on the Revlon Lip Butters, you can click the picture above and it will link you to the review post! The nature of this post involves a lot of pictures w/ minimal dialogue, for warning.

Revlon® ColorBurst™ Lip Butter Review

28 November 2011

So, this is another one of those tinted lip balm reviews that I love to do, but this is a good review, I swear. I feel like a lot of the reviews I do aren't so great. I dunno, I think only reviewing products you love is strange. If you have a legit reason for not liking a product, you should share it w/ everyone, yes?

Who knows? Anyway, this review is pretty exciting because not only are these products cool, cheap, and drugstore but...*drumroll* they're also NOT LE or special edition. Which means in a year, this review should still be relevant, haha. :)
